Hi, I’m Ralf, also known as “Ralfie” and sometimes “Puppy” even though I’m practically a grown up now! I love running really fast so that my ears flap and wish I could eat cheese and ice cream every day. My owner, Tracey sometimes needs help from people to get around safely, and I’m learning how to help too. I’ve been doing lots of training and now I’m going to be out and about more, going to work and shops and restaurants etc. Even Church on Sundays! I’m still learning though and sometimes I’m so excited to meet new people and smell new scents I forget that I have to be calm and pay special attention to Tracey. I will be “in training” for approximately 6 months. There are some things you could do to help me.
You’ll know when I’m working because I’ll be wearing my smart purple coat. Please just ignore me, even if I’m jumping up and down and wagging my tail madly. Ask Tracey if you would like to say hello and she will tell you what to do. I love treats and I know that if I look at you with my big hazel eyes you’ll give me anything. Never give me chocolate or grapes – it’s better if you don’t give me anything – Tracey always has treats – I get them when I do what she asks.
If I do anything that makes you worried or cross or you have a question about assistance dogs and what we do, please just ask Tracey. She is always happy to talk about things.
Looking forward to seeing you out and about
