The Church of England in Wythenshawe
One of the largest Team Ministries in the Church of England, the Wythenshawe Church of England Team brings together four parishes ministering to over 55,000 people in Wythenshawe, south Manchester.
Since September 2014 these four parishes now also link with the neighbouring parish of St Michael & All Angels Lawton Moor. Together the five parishes minister to over 63,000 across Wythenshawe. You can read more about this grouping here. Our five churches are all different and together we complement each other and work together in ministry and mission, worship and pastoral care for our communities. Wythenshawe is Manchester’s original garden city – built on the principles of being ‘close to town and country’ and this remains true today. Only seven miles from Manchester’s City Centre but surrounded by South Manchester’s most affluent suburbs and directly linked to the Cheshire countryside. The parishes of the Wythenshawe Team, in the Deanery of Withington, are part of the Diocese of Manchester in the Church of England. |
