Project 2018

How much do you want?

‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much.’

The Wythenshawe Team has been chosen by the Children’s Society to take part in its new project to raise awareness and funds for their work, and we want you to join in!

We have been given £1000 from the Children’s Society to kick-start fundraising and get the message of the Society out there. You can receive £20, £40 or more to put on any event you would like. All we ask is that you get the message of the Children’s Society out there and do your best to bring back more than the money you were given.

Are you up for it?
The parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 is a great example of what can be achieved with just a small amount of money or energy. God gives to all of us talents of various kinds and by his grace we can transform the gifts he gives into amazing acts of love and service. This project is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference. Full details can be obtained from any of the Team ministers and you have until mid-May to raise complete your project.

What could you do?
Coffee mornings, cake-bakes, parties, fun days, making crafts to sell, sports tournaments… the possibilities are endless and you can do whatever you like (so long that it is legal!!!) to raise money for the Children’s Society. We will supply you with the initial funds and the publicity material to spread the news of their excellent work.

Celebrating Together
At the end of the project we will have a massive celebratory service of thanksgiving on Pentecost Sunday at 3pm where we will pray for the work of the Children’s Society and announce our grand total.
